Our Purpose

What should we do?

Our purpose is to glorify God by conducting a Baptist church in accordance with the word of God; promoting the worship of Almighty God; edifying the believers; teaching the whole counsel of God; administering the ordinances and biblical discipline; seeking to win the lost to Christ through personal witnessing and the preaching of the gospel; carrying on a vigorous missionary program around the world; establishing other Baptist churches; defending the faith; and maintaining a good testimony for Christ in our community by exemplary Christian conduct.

Our History

What is our history?

God brought together a nucleus of believers in the Spring of 1997. Through the leadership of a godly pastor named Don Herb, two small churches joined together, ten people in all, to form Meadowlands Baptist Church. In the fall of the same year, Jim Tillotson, a pastor from the greater Chicago area, obeyed the call on his life, and became the pastor of MBC. Since then, the journey has been marvellous. We have seen souls saved in seasons of salvation and lives changed in growing discipleship. It is hard to put to words the impact of God's work in our midst. We just celebrated the eleventh anniversary of our church and trust, with God's leadership, we can continue forward for His glory, till He come! We don't know the future, but with the past being a great indicator of the power of God, we are anticipating future ministry. We are a church-planting church, with goals to see God use us to preach the true and living Gospel in more neighbourhoods than we are able to today.
